Case report Rare presentation of Hydatid cyst (Echinococcus granulosus) in Orbital region Abstract: In this case is a record of large hydatid cyst in the orbit in Iraq child male. Hydatid disease is endemic in Middle East as well as other parts of the world, including Iraq. Infestation by hydatid disease in humans most commonly occurs in the liver (55-70%) followed by lung (18-35%).Eve-though hydatid cyst can occur in any organ, it is very rare to see the disease in the orbit. The purpose of the paper is to emphasize the fact that this disease should suspected in cystic lesion affecting any “organ in the body “especially in endemic area of the world. In this case: Muhammad montather 5-years old Iraqi child with sever orbital pain of four months with gradual displacement of his right eye proptosis.
